Miss Maegan

Maegan Fraser

Hons B.A, B.Ed (Primary/Junior/Intermediate), Acrobatic Arts

Miss Maegan has over 20 years of dance training and experience in various disciplines including jazz, tap ballet, lyrical, and musical theatre. Her love of dance started at the tender age of 2 ½ when she enrolled in her first baby ballet dance class. Maegan soon fell in love with dance and quickly added jazz and tap to her repertoire.  At the age of thirteen, Maegan became a competitive dancer, competing in jazz, lyrical, and musical theatre. Maegan is also a former recreational dancer and member of the Performance Dance Academy Competitive Company. During her time as a dancer, Maegan had the opportunity to travel to Orlando, Florida as part of the Disney Magic Music Days youth dance program. Additionally, she also auditioned for and was selected to be a part of the 2007 Dance Dance Canada Show Team who travelled to Athens, Greece to perform at local festivals and on a cruise ship.

Miss Maegan pursued her post-secondary education at Brock University studying Child and Youth Studies. During her studies at Brock, she continued to pursue her passion for dance through being an active member and teacher for the school’s recreational dance club as well as a recreational and competitive instructor for a local studio.  Additionally, Miss Maegan volunteered her time with the YMCA and The United Way’s R.A.F.T Program for at risk youth teaching classes in creative movement and dance. Furthermore, Miss Maegan was selected as the head choreographer for Niagara Falls “Miss Club Italia Pageant” in 2012 and 2013.

Miss Maegan has always had a passion for the arts and for working with children and is extremely happy to be able to work in an environment which allows her to combine the two.  In addition to working at PDA, Maegan is also a certified member of the Ontario College of Teachers and is currently employed by both the Wellington Catholic District School Board and the Halton District School Board as an Occasional Teacher.

Maegan is thrilled to be back at PDA for what she knows will be another amazing year! She looks forward to sharing her love and passion for dance with all who she teaches as well as watching all of her dancers grow and learn over the next season!
